About Us

Imprinting patterns with handmade love

WHO WE ARE?

Print Masala is a slow fashion womenswear label conceived purely out of a passion for craft skills, a desire to flaunt the art of handmade through style. We see ourselves as a riot of prints and patterns, of monochromes and vivid contrasts, hand-working them into vibrant textures. And we express our vibrancy through designs that are classic and minimal, styles that breathe comfort. Creating textures by hand is how we organically connect with our art. We love to
work with heritage techniques of Tie-and-Dye, Block Printing, and Hand Painting,
and thrill ourselves by toying with contemporary patterns into the textures.
Print Masala is rooted in Bhopal, India, co-founded by fashion designers Kritika Sharma and Aditi Badal, who envisioned an apparel brand that is timeless, relaxed, and affordable, steeped in handmade artistry.

WHAT WE DO:

Our decade-long journey has been a hands-on learning curve of experimenting with new craft techniques, imbibing them with the traditional, and of understanding your style preferences. This has shaped the Print Masala look of today, and we will keep evolving.

Each clothing is worked on individually, with the result that every garment we
create has its own charm and backstory. We allow the materials to create patterns
naturally, without rigid restrictions. Most often, the patterns take forms we have not perceived. Creating this way surprises us too!

This is what we love about handmade textiles. The beauty lies in its unpredictability or ‘flaws’. The texture cannot be recreated. For us, this is a stamp of authenticity.

For you:

For Print Masala, you are our muse. You inspire us to create designs that celebrate
your vivacious spirit, and your confidence to be yourself, to wear yourself.
Creating understated chic elegance is our way of recognising your role and

contribution in society, and celebrating your femininity.

With love,
Kritika and Aditi.

MEET THE DESIGNERS

Fashion designers Kritika Sharma and Aditi Badal, created Print Masala, a
handcrafted womenswear brand, to offer timeless clothing that breathes comfort,
at affordable prices.

Their association goes deeper to a bond forged as school kids. Their mutual
fascination for handmade arts, pivoted their path to study and explore fashion at
the Symbiosis Institute of Design, Pune.

As design students, their exposure to market trends made them question the
sensibilities of fast fashion. The idea of mass-made styles that had to be constantly revamped, made them uncomfortable.

It nudged them to conceptualise clothing that is classic yet chic, comfortable, made slow, and priced easy. Bringing their love for handmade textiles into the picture, birthed Print Masala.

The designer duo shares, “Print Masala is about timeless dresses with
contemporary charm and intricate prints, that are completely at ease.”
